The DORO dates from 1988 and has an unladen weight of 3,440 kg; against the gross weight of 3,500 kg that leaves a payload of just 60 kg. It stands on two wheels at a width of 1,950 mm. With an unladen weight that uses up almost the entire gross weight, the DORO is not a trailer for varying loads but a vehicle whose own body already accounts for nearly the whole permitted weight.

Towing it behind a car requires driving licence category B or BE, depending on the combination's gross weight. Trailers with such a small payload share usually carry permanently mounted equipment rather than interchangeable cargo, so the remaining load allowance covers little more than consumables, tools or accessories for the mounted equipment.

When buying such a fully loaded trailer used, check the condition of the axle and axle bearings, the function of the overrun brake and its linkage, corrosion on the frame and drawbar, and the state of the tyres, lighting and electrical connector. Since there is practically no payload margin left, it is also worth checking whether later additions have pushed the vehicle over its gross weight. Exactly one example of this type is registered in the Netherlands; with a 1988 build date, expect limited parts availability.
