DECAMP CARAVAN Other models

The register lists here 3 versions with unladen weights from 1,150 to 1,300 kg, gross weights from 1,350 to 1,800 kg, lengths from 4,250 to 5,420 mm and widths from 2,190 to 2,550 mm.

With gross weights of up to 1.8 tonnes and lengths of up to 5.4 metres, the caravans sit in the class still towable with a stronger mid-range car or a larger estate, rather than among the heavier models that need vehicles with a higher rated towing weight. For towing on an ordinary car licence, besides the caravan's gross weight the tow vehicle's rated towing capacity also counts, which for many mid-range cars sets the real limit.

On a used caravan, damp in floor, walls and roof, the condition of windows and seals, the function of the overrun brake and jockey wheel, the state of the gas system and wiring, and rust on the chassis and drawbar all count above all. Parts for such small brands usually run through independent caravan workshops. Since caravans often stand for long periods, it is also worth checking tyre age independent of tread condition.
