De Forenede Trailerfabrik – other models: the collective page of trailers outside the named ranges of the Danish 'United Trailer Factory', the VA type family, 480 to 800 kg unladen weight, 1,500 to 2,700 kg gross weight
This page gathers the De Forenede Trailerfabrik trailers the register could not assign to a named range. The company name is Danish and means 'The United Trailer Factory' – a naming pattern typical of Scandinavian firms from a time when several workshops merged into one joint factory. Three of the five listed types share the VA designation, including VA 2700 440 AP and the practically identical VA 2704-440-AP; the individual letter and digit sequences are not interpreted here.

The register lists here 5 versions with unladen weights from 480 to 800 kg, gross weights from 1,500 to 2,700 kg, lengths from 4,400 to 7,500 mm and widths from 1,750 to 2,330 mm.
With gross weights of 1.5 to 2.7 tonnes, all versions fall into the braked trailer class towed behind vans and stronger cars for loads needing more deck space. The span of lengths from 4.4 to 7.5 metres shows the range runs from more compact to notably longer trailers, for example for boats, machinery or bulky cargo.
On a used example, axle and wheel-bearing condition, the function of the overrun brake and its linkage, rust on frame and drawbar, and the state of tyres and lighting all count. On the longer versions, warping and cracking along the full length of the frame also need checking, since long structures respond more to twisting than short ones. Parts for a Danish brand of this size usually come through independent trailer workshops.
