This page gathers the Commer commercial vehicles that the register does not assign to a named series – from the plain designation 1500, through the Commer FC panel van and the IMP VAN derived from Hillman Imp mechanicals, to the KAL, KCB, KCH and KCL type ranges. Commer was the commercial-vehicle brand of the British Rootes Group, which was absorbed into Chrysler United Kingdom in 1967 and whose models were later continued under the Dodge name. Type plates such as KCH 3023 L combine a letter code for the series with a number sequence for wheelbase or payload class and a suffix such as L or VAN for the body variant.

The register lists 13 versions with kerb weights of 706 to 3,140 kg and gross vehicle weights of 1,065 to 3,500 kg, powered by four- and six-cylinder engines of 1,592 to 2,500 cm³. Lengths range from 4,290 to 5,200 mm, widths from 1,530 to 2,140 mm; one measured output stands at 43 kW.

Commer served the British market between light van and light lorry and competed directly with Bedford, Austin and the early Ford Transit. The vehicles were built as delivery vans, minibuses and flatbeds for trade and commerce, in several body variants.

For a used example from the 1950s to 1970s, the condition of the chassis and floor panels matters most, as corrosion of the sills and load floor is common. The braking system, steering box and the often simple leaf-spring suspension should be checked for wear; parts are available through specialist clubs and British classic-vehicle dealers, as new parts from the manufacturer no longer exist.
