CAVALIER Other models

The register lists here 53 versions with unladen weights from 558 to 1,271 kg and gross weights from 749 to 1,640 kg. Widths range from 1,950 to 2,330 mm.

Caravans of this weight class from British production at the turn of the 1960s and 1970s were towed mainly by the smaller and mid-sized cars of the era and aimed at couples and small families in the British caravanning market, which grew strongly during those years alongside the expanding network of British campsites.

When buying such old caravans, damp and rot in the timber frame beneath the panelling, the condition of the roof, windows and floor, and corrosion on the chassis, drawbar and hitch are the decisive checks. Spares for assemblies from these model years are today available mainly through specialist caravan restorers.
