Above 750 kg, an overrun brake is required throughout in this class, converting the tow vehicle's braking force through the drawbar mechanically onto the trailer's own axle. Towing only needs licence category B as long as the combination's gross weight stays below 3,500 kg, otherwise category BE becomes necessary.

At lengths of around 6.5 to 6.7 m, the largest versions on this page belong to the long twin-axle trailers used for machinery, boat or vehicle transport, while the smaller models serve as general-purpose trailers.
