CARPENTO CARAVAN Other models

3 models in this series

Carpento Caravan – other models: the collective page of caravans outside the named ranges, Carpento 310, 360 and 410, 560 to 900 kg unladen weight, 1,000 to 1,350 kg gross weight, 4,400 to 5,400 mm length

This page gathers the caravans of the Carpento Caravan brand the register could not assign to a named range – the Caravan suffix marks the models as touring caravans. The three types Carpento 310, 360 and 410 rise in even steps of fifty, pointing to a model line staggered by size. As with many smaller caravan brands, the programme is drawn from registration data, in which each model is listed individually with its technical values.

The register lists here 3 versions with unladen weights from 560 to 900 kg, gross weights from 1,000 to 1,350 kg, lengths from 4,400 to 5,400 mm and widths from 2,040 to 2,170 mm.

With gross weights of up to 1.35 tonnes and lengths of up to 5.4 metres, the caravans sit in the class still towable with an ordinary mid-range car, rather than among the larger models that need tow vehicles with a higher rated towing weight. For towing on an ordinary car licence, besides the caravan's gross weight the tow vehicle's rated towing capacity also counts, which for many mid-range cars sets the real limit.

On a used caravan, damp in floor, walls and roof, the condition of windows and seals, the function of the overrun brake and jockey wheel, the state of the gas system and wiring, and rust on the chassis and drawbar all count above all. Parts for such small brands usually run through independent caravan workshops. Since caravans often stand for long periods, it is also worth checking tyre age independent of tread condition.
