BURNSTER Other models

The register lists 18 versions with unladen weights from 500 to 1,570 kg, gross weights from 900 to 1,900 kg, lengths from 6,800 to 7,330 mm and widths from 2,090 to 2,480 mm.

The combination of more than 6,800 mm in length with a comparatively low gross weight points to large-volume but light bodies, as found on caravan or leisure trailers carrying living and camping equipment.

When buying used, the body and roof for damp damage, the frame along its full length for rust and distortion, the axles and overrun brake system, and the windows, doors, electrical wiring and lighting are worth checking. The versions listed in the register as BURSTNER and BURSTNER 466 are treated here as separate model names, without reference to similarly sounding names from other manufacturers. On the larger bodies, roof vents, ventilation flaps and the jockey wheel at the drawbar head are worth a look too.
