Burg BPA

The register lists 134 versions with unladen weights from 2,800 to 19,200 kg and permissible gross weights from 11,300 to 45,000 kg. Lengths are recorded for 65 of the 134 vehicles and range from 8,080 to 14,260 mm, width for all 134 versions from 2,200 to 2,600 mm.

As a dedicated type series within the Burg range, BPA likely represents the core of the tank and silo transport offering, while other Burg series in the register also include tipper and flatbed bodies; the narrow width span of just 400 mm points to a largely standardised vehicle width across the series.

For a used tank or silo trailer of this series, check the tightness of the vessel, manhole covers and outlet fittings, corrosion on vessel supports and the frame, the condition of axles and the EBS braking system, and the function of the air suspension. For silo versions, the condition of the unloading and compressor system also matters; a complete inspection history is important, since parts for the BPA series are usually only available through the manufacturer itself.
