BRUDER Other models

3 models in this series

Bruder – other models: the collective page of trailers outside the named ranges, EXP 4 and EXP-7, 1,162 to 2,840 kg unladen weight, 1,800 to 3,150 kg gross weight, 5,600 to 7,650 mm length

This page gathers the Bruder trailers the register could not assign to a named range – with only three versions this amounts to practically the whole programme listed here. The types EXP 4, EXP-7 and EXP4 carry the same core name in slightly different spellings, with no further range logic readable from them. As with many smaller trailer brands, the programme is drawn from registration data, in which each model is listed individually with its technical values.

The register lists here 3 versions with unladen weights from 1,162 to 2,840 kg, gross weights from 1,800 to 3,150 kg, lengths from 5,600 to 7,650 mm and widths from 2,030 to 2,120 mm.

With lengths of over five and a half metres and gross weights of up to just over three tonnes, the versions sit at the upper end of what is still towed as a braked trailer behind a suitably rated tow vehicle, rather than as a typical car trailer. Above 3.5 tonnes gross weight an ordinary car licence no longer suffices; depending on the tow vehicle and combination a BE licence or higher is required.

On a used example at this size, the condition of axles, brakes and brake linkage, rust on frame and side rails, the state of the drawbar and jockey wheel, and lighting, tyres and rims all count in particular; the payload reserve between unladen and gross weight is worth checking before purchase. Parts for such a small model count usually run through independent trailer workshops. At this size, the load rating of axles and tyres relative to the actually loaded weight counts as well.
