BRP Other models

4 models in this series

BRP – other models: Can-Am quads and side-by-sides from Valcourt, Canada, in the tractor register, two-cylinder Rotax engines, 12.7 to 55.9 kW, 465 to 725 kg unladen weight

This page gathers the BRP vehicles in the tractor register: Can-Am quads and side-by-sides, from the Outlander 570 Pro through the versatile Defender to the sporty Maverick Trail. BRP – Bombardier Recreational Products – emerged in 2003 from the recreational division of the Canadian Bombardier group, headquartered in Valcourt, Quebec, where it still builds quads, side-by-sides, snowmobiles and personal watercraft today. Unlike classic farm tractors, Can-Am models are off-road vehicles with two-cylinder Rotax engines, listed in the register alongside the actual tractors because of their use on the farm and pasture.

The register lists here 4 versions with 12.7 to 55.9 kW from two-cylinder engines of 570 to 810 cm³ displacement, unladen weights from 465 to 725 kg, gross weights from 620 to 1,355 kg, lengths from 2,265 to 3,142 mm and widths from 1,168 to 1,595 mm.

On farms, such vehicles take on light transport and inspection runs, pasture maintenance and work in rough terrain where a classic tractor would be too big or too slow; the Defender is designed as a utility vehicle with a cargo bed, the Outlander as a pure quad.

On used examples, the condition of the Rotax two-cylinder engine and cooling system, the state of the belt or chain drive, tyres and shock absorbers, and the frame and cargo bed for accident damage all matter; spare parts run through the BRP Can-Am dealer network.
