BRENDON Other models

The register lists here 5 versions with unladen weights from 402 to 640 kg, a uniform gross weight of 1,500 kg, lengths from 3,200 to 3,500 mm and widths from 1,470 to 1,600 mm.

With a uniform gross weight of 1,500 kg but differing unladen weight between versions, the range offers a payload of 860 to just under 1,100 kg depending on the model – a layout suited equally to light commercial jobs and private use, and towable on an ordinary trailer licence.

On a used example of this class, rust on the frame and drawbar, the condition of the overrun coupling and brake linkage, the age and condition of the wheel bearings, and the tightness of the sides and floor against moisture all count. Because every model in the range shares the same gross weight, the axle, brake and tyres can usually be swapped between versions. It is also worth checking the tie-down points and floor fixings for corrosion, especially if the trailer has previously carried garden or building equipment rather than only dry cargo.
