The register lists here 38 versions with unladen weights from 330 to 3,040 kg, gross weights from 1,000 to 3,500 kg and widths from 1,430 to 2,500 mm.

Trailers of this weight class run as car trailers on building sites, in gardening and landscaping and in small commercial haulage, where they are usually towed on an ordinary category B licence. The market for this class splits between a few large series manufacturers and many smaller, regionally active workshops that build trailers to customer order.

On a used purchase, the condition of the drawbar and tow eye, the operation of the overrun brake, axles, suspension and tyres, rust on the frame and side panels, and a working lighting system all count. Spare parts for axles, brakes and fittings are usually available across manufacturers for trailers of this class, so a missing data plate rarely stops continued use.
