With gross weights from 35,500 to 37,500 kg, the range falls entirely within EU trailer category O4 and therefore has to carry air brakes instead of an overrun brake, which is not permitted at all above roughly 3.5 tonnes. The tow vehicle required is a tractor unit with licence category CE; in commercial long-haul transport, the driver is additionally subject to the driver-qualification rules. At the fifth wheel, load is transferred through the kingpin onto the tractor's drive axle, while the remaining load rests on the semi-trailer's own axles, usually three of them.

With gross weights of almost 37.5 tonnes and lengths of nearly 14 metres, these semi-trailers belong to the classic three-axle class for general road haulage, run across Europe behind tractor units of various makes.

On a used purchase, the condition of the axles and brake system, wear on the king pin and fifth-wheel plate, cracks in the frame, the tyres and twin wheels, and the load capacity of the deck or body all matter. Spare parts run through the general semi-trailer trade.
