The register lists 45 versions with unladen weights from 1,400 to 12,800 kg and gross weights from 10,000 to 44,000 kg. Lengths range from 4,375 to 15,650 mm, widths from 2,450 to 2,600 mm.
Trailers and semi-trailers of this size haul bulk goods, building materials or general cargo in road freight; the spread from light twin-axle units to multi-axle combinations at the 44-tonne limit shows the breadth of the range. The heaviest combinations in the range reach the 44-tonne gross weight permitted for regular road traffic in Europe, typical of international long-haul transport.
When buying used, check the frame and axles, the brakes and air suspension, the coupling or kingpin, and the load bed and sides for corrosion and wear; parts for axles and brakes are available from commercial-vehicle parts dealers. On multi-axle versions, also check the even operation of the lift axle and the wear pattern across all tyres, which often reveals an untracked axle alignment issue.
