Sailplane trailers are a niche market: buyers are almost exclusively gliding clubs and private owners moving their aircraft between airfield, competition and winter storage. The great length at low weight comes from wingspans of up to 18 metres lying lengthwise in the trailer; the low unladen weight keeps the towing load within reach of small tow vehicles.

Used, the condition of the GRP canopy matters most – cracks, leaking seals and water ingress into the wing and fuselage linings are the most common faults. Beyond that come axle, tyres and the overrun brake, the movement of the internal wing cradles, and the drawbar and jockey wheel; spare parts come through Anschau itself.
