The span from just over half a tonne to more than 24 tonnes unladen weight shows that very different trailer classes run under the Stevens name – from the light single-axle trailer to the multi-axle low-loader for construction machinery and special transport. Such collective pages arise where trailers are carried in registers under the maker's name but without a recognisable range designation; as the Dutch descriptions in the register show, they are common on that country's trailer market.

On light types, buyers should check the overrun brake, ball coupling and drawbar, the condition of frame and side boards, and tyre age; on heavy multi-axle types the brake system, stub axles and suspension, the condition of the loading platform and, where fitted, the hydraulics for tipping or ramps. Corrosion on the longitudinal members and mounting points and the validity of the roadworthiness approval are worth checking before purchase; parts for older models, depending on year, now run mainly through independent trailer workshops.
