Sisu CM16M – the Finnish multi-axle heavy truck: 6x4 to 10x8, six-cylinder engines of 12.8 to 15.6 litres, 375 to 460 kW
Sisu Auto of Kankaanpää, Finland, has for decades built heavy, extremely off-road-capable multi-axle trucks for construction, forestry and mining work, and, in its own ranges, for the Finnish military. The CM16M range represents the heaviest class of this programme: the type number gives roughly the payload or weight class, and the axle configurations in the name range from 6x4 and 6x6 through 8x4 and 8x8 to 10x4 and 10x8, each with a different number of driven and steered axles, for tipper, crane and special bodies. The vehicles are powered by heavy six-cylinder diesel engines of just under 13 to over 15 litres.
