The Palfinger FLS 25 electric is a forklift truck from Palfinger.

Palfinger – From a Repair Shop in Bergheim to a Crane Manufacturer

Richard Palfinger founded a repair shop for agricultural trailers, tippers and vehicle bodies in Bergheim near Salzburg in 1932. In 1959 the firm built its first own crane, and when his son Hubert Palfinger took over management in 1964, production switched to hydraulic loader cranes. Over the following years, Palfinger filed several patents, including for a mast-planting grab (1973) and a folding main boom (1976). In 1974, the truck-mounted forklift was launched as a further product. By 1989 Palfinger was present in over 70 countries, with an export rate above 90 percent; it went public on the Vienna Stock Exchange in 1999. Listed in the register: BM 214.

What to check before buying

  • Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
  • Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
  • Load the hydraulics and watch for sag.
  • Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
