Landini of Fabbrico in Emilia-Romagna is Italy's oldest tractor maker – founded in 1884, since 1994 the core of the Argo group with McCormick – and the Rex is its specialty-tractor range for orchards, vineyards and greenhouses: low, narrow and agile, with bonnet and cab that fit under canopies and between vine rows. The type logic: the letters name the track width – F for Frutteto, the orchard version of medium width, V for Vigneto, the narrow vineyard version, S for an intermediate track – and the number roughly the output in hp. The older generation is called Rex 60 F to Rex 105 F, the younger from the 2010s Rex 3-070 to Rex 4-120, where the first digit gives the cylinder count and the following ones the hp: a Rex 4-120 F is a four-cylinder with 120 hp in orchard track.
