Kalmar DCD, DCE and ECE – heavy forklift trucks from Sweden
Kalmar builds cargo-handling equipment for ports, terminals and heavy industry. Its forklift line traces back to the workshop Lidhults Mekaniska Verkstad, which built its first forklift for a local sawmill in 1949 and began serial production in 1952. In 1974 Kalmar Verkstad took over the company and a year later acquired Ljungbytruck; together they operated as Kalmar LMV. Since 2005 Kalmar has been part of Cargotec.
