FSC (Fabryka Samochodów Ciężarowych, Truck Factory), based in Starachowice, Poland, built medium-duty trucks under the Star brand from 1948 for the domestic market and for export to the Eastern Bloc. This page gathers versions outside the named series: from the early post-war Star 20/21/25/27 models, through the Star 200, built in large numbers and, from 1973, the most widely used truck on Polish roads, to the heavy Star 1142/1144 and the Star 1366. The four-digit type designation used from the 1980s ordered load class and engine specification according to an internal factory scheme.

Star trucks shaped Polish road haulage for decades and, like the Soviet ZIL or the East German W50, were also used in large numbers by the military and in agriculture. Exports went mainly to other Warsaw Pact states as well as to buyers in Africa and Asia.
