The Econoline is Ford's large van, built since 1961, which started as a cab-over with the engine between the front seats before switching from the second generation of 1968 to the classic layout with a front engine under a short bonnet, still the basis of the range sold as the E-Series today. Within the range, the register here distinguishes the Cargo Van as a windowless utility version, the Window Van as a glazed passenger version and the Club Wagon as a minibus with several rows of seats; the Camper version also shows the Econoline as a popular base for motorhome conversions. The range was traditionally powered by inline-six and V8 engines from Ford's own engine family, in various displacement steps depending on payload and power needs.
