Esve traces back to Schrör & Vriend, founded in 1920 in Winterswijk, and ranks among the first Dutch builders of trailers and semi-trailers; in the early 1960s the works moved to Lichtenvoorde, and in 1992 it was taken over by the Eeftink Rensing group. For more than a hundred years Esve has built semi-trailers, trailers and bodies, in recent years under the name Esve Special Trailers, with a focus on special transport up to 90 tonnes capacity. This lets Esve serve mainly heavy transport of industrial and construction machinery.
