Esve traces back to Schrör & Vriend, founded in 1920 in Winterswijk, moved to Lichtenvoorde in the early 1960s, and was taken over in 1992 by the Eeftink Rensing group; today the company trades as Esve Special Trailers. The model names of the EAD range combine the code EAD with one or two numeric values, in some cases with further letters such as LB or LHLS, for example in EAD 12-10LB and EAD 12-10LHLS.
