DAF is the Dutch truck maker from Eindhoven, part of the US PACCAR group since 1996, which also owns Kenworth and Peterbilt. The model numbers 75, 85 and 95 come from DAF's 1990s series, in which a rising digit marked a higher gross-weight class; XF denotes the newly introduced flagship cab for long-haul transport from 1997, while WC, XC and PC were earlier cab variants of the 85 series.
