The Jumper emerged in 1994 from the Sevel cooperation between PSA (Citroën/Peugeot) and Fiat at the Val di Sangro plant (Atessa, Italy) and is technically almost identical to the Fiat Ducato and Peugeot Boxer; the third generation has run since 2006 (facelifts in 2014 and 2019). Type designations in the register combine a weight-class number (27, 29, 30, 33, 35 for gross weight in hundreds above 3 tonnes), a length code (L1 to L3) and height code (H1 to H3), and the engine designation – HDi denotes the common-rail diesel used since 1999, older models still ran naturally aspirated (D) or turbo diesels (TD).
