Burg BPD0 – tipper range from Pijnacker: 18 models, unladen weight 6,090 to 16,860 kg, gross vehicle weight 20 to 40 tonnes, widths up to 2,600 mm
Burg, trading as Gebr. van der Burg in Pijnacker near The Hague, built trailers and semi-trailers, including tipper trailers, semi-trailers, centre-axle trailers and dolly axle units; the brand now belongs to the Chinese CIMC group, with development and service still based in Pijnacker while production runs through the sister plant LAG in Belgium. The BPD0 range bundles tipper semi-trailers whose designations, such as BPD0 12-18, BPD0 12-24 or BPD0 12-27, refer to axle count and body volume.

The register lists 18 versions of the BPD0 range with unladen weights from 6,090 to 16,860 kg and gross vehicle weights from 20,000 to 40,000 kg. Seven of the models also carry lengths from 8,620 to 13,830 mm, while widths run from 2,470 to 2,600 mm.
With 18 listed variants, BPD0 is the most finely staged tipper range in the register: from smaller two-axle tippers to the full 40-tonne tipping semi-trailer for bulk goods such as sand, gravel or excavated earth, the range covers the whole breadth of construction-site and recycling transport. Such tipping semi-trailers are common in earthworks, landfill and recycling operations, and road building.
On a used tipping semi-trailer, the condition of the tipping cylinders and hydraulics, the tightness of the body welds, wear on the tipping rails and bearings, and the braking system and axles all matter most. Corrosion on the side boards and lower frame parts from aggressive bulk material is worth checking as well, along with the date of the last roadworthiness inspection and the function of the tarpaulin or cover.

What to check before buying
- Search the frame and welds at the axle mounts — that is where cracks start.
- Check the brakes and the last inspection in the papers.
- Work the gross weight against the towing vehicle before buying.
- Compare the chassis number with the papers.
- Look at the floor, cover or body from the inside — rust does not show from outside.
