Ford Otosan – other models: the collective page outside the named ranges, from the Cargo 1833 to 2642T under the European weight-power logic to the F-MAX flagship, 242 to 368 kW from 9.0- to 12.7-litre diesels
Ford Otosan, the Turkish joint venture of Ford and Koç Holding with plants in Eskişehir and Gölcük, builds Ford's heavy lorries for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Type designations such as 1833 or 2642T from the older Cargo range follow the logic common in Europe: the first two digits give the weight class in tonnes, the next two the engine output divided by ten, and T marks a tractor unit; the Ford F-MAX, the flagship since 2018, replaced this nomenclature with its own model name and was named International Truck of the Year in 2019.

The register lists here 12 versions with 242 to 368 kW, engines of 9,000 to 12,700 cm³ and unladen weights from 6,615 to 9,169 kg; the F-MAX adds a length of 5,925 mm, a width of 2,540 mm and a height of 3,915 mm, and the vehicles are powered almost throughout by diesel engines.
Ford Otosan is Ford's largest commercial-vehicle plant worldwide and one of Turkey's most important lorry makers; the F-MAX competes in European long-haul transport with Volvo, Scania, MAN and the Mercedes-Benz Actros and is regarded as Ford's entry into the premium class of heavy long-haul trucking.
On the Cargo models, the condition of the engine and gearbox, rust on the frame and cab suspension, the braking system and suspension count; on the F-MAX additionally operating hours, the condition of the SCR exhaust aftertreatment and particulate filter, and the driver-assistance systems; parts run through Ford's commercial-vehicle network.
