Autobianchi was formed in 1955 as a joint venture of Fiat, Pirelli and the bicycle manufacturer Bianchi, based in Desio near Milan. From 1957 the brand built the Bianchina, an independently bodied small car range on the technical base of the Fiat 500; this collective page covers the commercial versions Furgoncino (van) and Giardiniera (estate) as well as the Panorama model.

The Bianchina commercial vehicles were aimed at small traders and craftsmen in Italy of the late 1950s and 1960s, when compact, economical vans were in demand for inner-city delivery work; the vehicles shared their drivetrain and running gear with the Fiat 500, and hence its wide parts base, which made maintenance and repair easier even away from authorised workshops.
When buying a used vehicle of this kind, corrosion on the floorpan and load bed, the condition of the air-cooled two-cylinder engine, and the clutch and brakes matter most; since the mechanicals largely correspond to the Fiat 500, many wear parts are available thanks to that model's wide classic-car following, setting Autobianchi apart from rarer Italian marques of the same era.
