Siemens 1LA9

The register lists 60 versions from frame size 80 to 200 with rated outputs from 1.1 to 37 kW, two-, four- and six-pole, rated voltage 415 V. Full-load efficiencies lie between 82 and 94 %, protection is IP55 throughout, mounting IM B3 or IM B5. The recorded weights of 12 to 214 kg show the lightweight construction: a 1LA9 in frame 132 weighs clearly less than a cast-iron motor of the same output. Manufacturing locations per registration: Czechia and Germany.

The special feature of the 9 execution is the higher output utilisation: in many frame sizes the 1LA9 delivers one power step more than the base type 1LA7 at the same shaft height – an advantage when the installation space is fixed.

When replacing, interchangeability via shaft height, flange and shaft end applies as with all IEC motors; the efficiency class of the 1LA9 is mostly IE1 or IE2, and the successor 1LE1 in IE3 usually has the same connection dimensions.
