New Idea – other models: balers and bale wagons from Coldwater, Ohio, part of AGCO since 1997, from the compact round baler to machines of up to 13,425 kg

This page gathers the New Idea balers the register could not assign to a named range: from compact round balers of the 6200 series to large balers and bale wagons of the 7200 and 7300 series. New Idea was founded in Coldwater, Ohio, and was known for decades for harvesting equipment such as corn pickers, manure spreaders and balers, before the brand became part of the AGCO group in 1997, which still runs it today as a harvesting-equipment brand. The New Idea name goes back to the innovative harvesting machines with which the company supplied American farms from its founding in the late 19th century.

The register lists here 6 versions with weights from 1,224 to 13,425 kg, lengths from 3,430 to 9,010 mm and heights from 1,650 to 3,160 mm – a span reaching from the compact round baler to the large self-propelled bale wagon.

Balers of this range cover practically every farm size from the small holding to the contracting business; in the United States and Canada, New Idea's traditional core market, they usually stand in the same yard alongside equipment from John Deere, Case IH and New Holland. The bale wagon as a special form additionally picks up and stacks the finished bales in a single pass.

On used examples, the condition of the pickup and tines, the belts or chains and the knotter or binding device, bearing play on the rollers, and the frame and drawbar for wear and rust all matter; spare parts today run through the AGCO dealer network.
