Buying used, on petrol engines (4.0-litre inline-six, 4.7 and 5.2/5.9-litre V8, SRT8's 6.4-litre V8) check oil consumption and ignition coil condition, on the 2.7- and 3.0-litre CRD diesels check the turbocharger, EGR valve and timing chain, and also check the air suspension (Quadra-Lift), four-wheel-drive system and rust around the rear wheel arches.
