The register lists six versions with unladen weights from 2,840 to 4,820 kg, gross weights from 30,000 to 39,000 kg, lengths from 6,940 to 12,600 mm and widths from 2,450 to 2,500 mm.

With an unladen weight of only a few tonnes and gross weights up to 39 tonnes, the OCCR versions are built for maximum payload, as needed in heavy long-haul transport and for bulk and general cargo; the length span from around 7 to over 12 metres shows both short and long bodies within the range.

When buying a used example of this age, what matters is the condition of the frame and kingpin, the function of the brakes, corrosion on the chassis rails and load floor, and the state of the axles and tyres. Parts for historic Fruehauf semi-trailers are barely available through regular trade, so restorations usually rely on common axle and brake components and on vintage commercial vehicle specialists. It is also worth checking the paint history and any signs of earlier bodywork repairs.
