In this small power class, Fighter tractors are compact yard and small tractors built for grounds and light field work, a segment in which numerous smaller import brands compete with Chinese or South Asian compact tractors. The close spacing of the seven types in two-hp steps from 12 to 24 hp allows fine matching to implements and intended use, from simple mowing to tillage attachments at the lower edge of the small-tractor class.

When buying used, check clutch and gearbox, the tightness of hydraulics and PTO, and the condition of the small diesel engine and its injection pump; on such light tractors tyre condition and the steering linkage also deserve attention. Parts for this small-tractor class are usually only obtainable through independent importers, and brand-specific components for Fighter types can be hard to find.
