The R560 belongs to Scania's R range, introduced in 2004 as the Swedish truck maker's most spacious cab for long-haul transport. The type designation R560 gives the R cab and an engine output of around 560 hp; LA in the model names marks the tractor unit (dragbil), LB the rigid truck with its own load bed, the following digits and letters the number and arrangement of axles such as 6X2, 6X4 or 8x4, the frame height (H for high, M for mid) and the cab trim (Normal or Highline).
