New Holland, founded in 1895 as a farm-machinery works in Pennsylvania, was joined with Ford Tractor in 1986 into Ford New Holland and bought by Fiat in 1991, which merged with Case as CNH from 1999; the blue tractors of the 1990s therefore carry three type logics. The Fiat types such as 80-66 and 110-90 give the hp class before and the series after the hyphen; the Ford 40 (5640 to 8340) and 70 (8670 to 8970) series from Basildon and Antwerp give the power in the middle digits and the series in the last, with SLE and SL as equipment lines; the articulated 9282 to 9882 and the later T9 come from Winnipeg and Fargo. From 2007 the T logic applies: T4 to T9 as ranges, the following digits as power (T6.140 about 140 hp). The engines are Fiat's 8000 series, Ford's Genesis, FPT's NEF and Cursor and Cummins in the articulated tractors.
