Link-Belt 700LX

LX was the earlier series until LBX Company introduced the X2 generation in 2007: a re-engineered Tier III diesel with common-rail injection, a turbocharger with intercooler, more power at lower rpm, and a load-sensing hydraulic system delivering extra power boost under heavy work. X3 and X4 followed later within the same size scheme, which is why the bucket lists LX and X2 variants of the same base number side by side (e.g. 130LX next to 130X2).

The recorded range shows how wide the line-up is: engine output 63 to 331 kW, operating weight 12,292 to 80,013 kg, displacement 3,000 to 15,698 cm³ across 4- to 6-cylinder engines.

For a used machine, the generation on the nameplate matters more than the bare number: X2-era models feature cast boom- and arm-tip components and an Extended Maintenance System on pins and bushings for longer lube intervals — the service book shows whether that schedule was kept. On older LX machines, also check track tension, rollers, and the condition of hydraulic cylinders and the main pump.

In short: number = size class, suffix = generation. Since the bucket mixes both generations under one entry, only the nameplate or serial number gives a reliable answer.
