Leyland Motors, based at its works in the town of Leyland in Lancashire, was one of Britain's largest commercial-vehicle makers, building both trucks and buses before the company was absorbed into the British Leyland Motor Corporation in the 1960s and 1970s. This page combines both vehicle types: heavy trucks such as the eight-wheeled Octopus and the Hippo for long-distance haulage, and double-deck buses such as the Titan, Atlantean, PD2, PD3 and Routemaster, whose chassis Leyland supplied to coachbuilders and transport operators. The Roadtrain T45 of the 1980s represents the brand's last independent truck generation before DAF's takeover in 1987.

After the merger with DAF, Leyland Trucks' production passed to the new parent company.
