Ginaf, founded in 1948 in Veenendaal, the Netherlands (the name comes from 'Geïmporteerde Isuzu- en Amerikaanse vrachtwagens', later from 'Gebroeders Van Ginkel Automobielfabriek'), builds multi-axle and all-wheel-drive trucks for heavy-haulage, construction, fire-brigade and military use, since the 1970s usually with DAF cabs on its own reinforced chassis with up to four axles and 8X8 drive. The range letters C, E, F, G, K and M historically denoted different weight and axle-configuration classes, the following number the tonnage or engine; HD and X denote newer heavy and special chassis.

Ginaf is the best-known Dutch make of all-wheel-drive and multi-axle trucks outside the volume manufacturers and supplies mainly construction, fire brigades, the military and disaster relief with vehicles combining series-production DAF engineering with axles and drivetrain designed for extreme off-road capability.
On used Ginaf vehicles, the condition of the transfer case and axle differentials, corrosion on the reinforced chassis frame, and the condition of tyres and portal axles on off-road versions count, and since the cabs come from DAF, the usual checkpoints on engine and electrics there as well; chassis parts run exclusively through Ginaf, cab and engine parts through the DAF network.
