Clark Forklift – the pioneer behind the C-code for diesel and LPG
Clark is regarded as one of the inventors of the modern forklift: in 1917 the company built the "Tructractor", one of the first motorised load-carrying vehicles, followed in 1924 by the first truck with a hydraulic lifting mechanism. By 1997 Clark had built over a million units; since 2003 the company, now based in Dallas, has belonged to South Korea's Young An Hat Company.
