Claas Lexion (from 1995) – the hybrid combines from Harsewinkel: Lexion 405 to 480 as first generation, 500, 600 and 700 series with APS and Roto Plus, 5000 to 8000 since 2019, TT for Terra Trac, Caterpillar and Mercedes engines, 220 to 431 kW
The Lexion is the combine with which Claas has occupied the top of the class since 1995: the successors to the Dominator and Mega with the APS hybrid threshing system – an accelerator ahead of the threshing drum – and in the big models the two Roto Plus separation rotors instead of straw walkers, built in Harsewinkel and in Omaha, Nebraska, for North America, where the machines ran as Cat Lexion until 2002. The type logic: the three-digit types of the first generation (405 to 480) and of the 500, 600 and 700 series give the generation in the hundreds digit and the size in the last digits – 480, 580, 600 and 770 the top models with rotor separation, 540, 560, 650 and 660 the walker machines – since 2019 the four-digit logic 5000 to 8000 applies, in which the 5000s and 6000s carry walkers and the 7000s and 8000s rotors; TT marks the Terra Trac crawler undercarriage, Montana the hillside-levelling version, C the equipment level. The engines came from Caterpillar (C9 to C13) in the early and Mercedes-Benz (OM 502 LA V8, OM 470 and OM 473) in the later models.

The register lists 44 versions with 220 to 431 kW from six- and eight-cylinders at 2,000 to 2,100 rpm.
Since 2008 the Lexion has held, with the 770 and 8900, the world record for the quantity of wheat harvested in eight hours and is Europe's best-selling big combine; the Terra Trac tracks have been Claas's answer to the ground pressure of the 30 tonne machines since 1997.
On used combines, threshing and engine hours, the condition of APS drum, concave, rotors and sieves, header and feeder house, engine and hydrostat, on TT models the track belts and parts supply through the Claas network count.
