Citroën BX – the Bertone-styled mid-size car of the 1980s as a Dutch commercial-vehicle registration, including the Break estate, 1.6 to 1.9 litres, 51 kW
The Citroën BX replaced the GS in 1982 and was built in Rennes until 1994; its angular design came from Bertone, the hydropneumatic suspension provided, as with all Citroën models of the era, self-levelling and high ride comfort, and with plastic body panels front and rear the BX was known for its low weight. As with the larger C5, BX Break estate versions with the rear seat removed were also registered in the Netherlands as light commercial vehicles, recognisable by the suffixes 'Break' and 'Service' in the vehicle designations on this page.

On used examples, rust on sills, wheel arches and the underbody counts, along with the condition of the suspension's hydraulic pump and spheres, the timing belt on the petrol engines, and the longevity of the diesels when well maintained; parts for the BX are no longer fully available through Citroën but are well obtainable through specialist youngtimer dealers.
