Custom and Custom Deluxe were, for decades, Chevrolet's mid-level trim line on the C/K pick-ups and the El Camino, the hybrid of passenger car and open load bed built from 1959 to 1987. The name did not denote a separate model series but an equipment package above the base version, identifiable by suffixes such as C10, C20, 20 292 or De Luxe, which indicate the weight class and engine of the vehicle in question. Chevrolet is General Motors' volume brand, headquartered in Detroit and founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William Durant.
