Apache was initially, from 1958, the name of Chevrolet's light pick-up range in the United States, and from the 1960s it was carried on as the model name for trucks sold in Mexico and Latin America, while the C/K designation became established in parallel in the US. The numbers 10, 20 and 30 denote, as on the North American sister model, the payload class – roughly half a tonne, three-quarters of a tonne and a full tonne – while Fleetside denotes the smooth bed side and Stepside the stepped fender form with a running board.
