This page gathers the Case IH tractors the register could not assign to a named range – the brand that emerged in 1985 when Tenneco bought the farm-equipment division of International Harvester and merged it with J.I. Case of Racine. The tractors therefore carry several origins: the IH 56 and 55 series from Neuss and Doncaster (1056 XL, 1455 XL, 1255) with the XL cab, the 4200 and 5100 (Maxxum) series from Neuss and Racine of the 1990s, the Steyr relatives CS and CVX after the merger into CNH in 1999, and today's Farmall (compact and utility tractors), Maxxum, Puma, Magnum and Steiger ranges, whose number gives the hp class – Puma 195 about 195 hp, Magnum 235 235 hp, Steiger 535 535 hp – and whose suffixes CVX, Quadtrac, Accusteer and Heavy-Duty mark the stepless transmission, the four-track undercarriage and chassis versions. The engines are IH's own in the old, Perkins in the small, FPT (NEF and Cursor) in the medium and big and Cummins in the oldest Steigers.

Case IH is New Holland's red sister in the CNH group, number two behind John Deere in North America and, with the Quadtrac, the inventor of the four-track big tractor; the Maxxum and Puma ranges are technically the twins of the Steyr Profi and CVT from St. Valentin.
On used tractors, clutch, transmission and XL cab count on the IH heirs, operating hours, powershift or CVX transmission, front-axle suspension and electronics on the Maxxum and Puma, engine, transmission and tyres or tracks on the Magnum and Steiger; parts run through CNH.
