This page gathers the Nuffield tractors that the register does not assign to a separately named range – from the Universal generation of the late 1940s to the models of the 1960s. Nuffield traced back to William Morris, Lord Nuffield, whose Morris Motors built field tractors from 1948 at the Ward End works in Birmingham; in 1952 the make merged into the newly formed British Motor Corporation, from 1968 into British Leyland, which replaced it with the Leyland brand around 1969/72. The 4/65 type designation follows Nuffield's logic of cylinder count and power class: four cylinders, about 65 hp.

Nuffield was one of the major British tractor exporters of the 1950s and 1960s to Australia, New Zealand, India and other Commonwealth countries, and competed at home with Fordson, Ferguson and David Brown for British arable farms.
On these tractors, now over fifty years old, engine and injection pump, clutch and gearbox, the linkage hydraulics, sheet metal and frame for rust, and tyres count; spare parts today run mainly through British Nuffield and vintage-tractor clubs.
