The register lists 784 versions with unladen weights from 350 to 2,944 kg, gross weights from 800 to 3,500 kg and widths from 1,940 to 2,550 mm; length figures are available for 186 vehicles and range from 4,750 to 10,270 mm.

Tabbert has traditionally positioned itself in the upper segment of the German caravan market, above high-volume brands such as Hobby and Dethleffs, competing mainly with Bürstner and the Hymer group. The wide weight range, reaching close to 3 tonnes gross weight, reflects both light entry-level models and heavy family caravans with fixed double beds and elaborate fit-out.

When buying used, check for moisture at the floor, wall and roof joints and the condition of window and roof-hatch seals, especially on the older, often lavishly equipped Comtesse and Baronesse models. Add a valid gas-system inspection, the hitch coupling and brakes including the handbrake cable, and tyre age under the six-year rule. Check the floor panel for soft spots and test the 12 V and 230 V electrics; parts for older series are often only available through independent workshops, while current models are covered by the Knaus Tabbert dealer network.
