The GLC is Mercedes-Benz's compact SUV built on the C-Class platform, in the range since 2015 as the successor to the GLK and in its second generation since 2022. It is built at the home plant in Bremen and, for the Chinese market, by Beijing Benz Automotive. The type designation combines a three-digit power class with a fuel-type suffix: “d” for diesel, “e” for plug-in hybrid, while pure petrol versions carry no suffix; 4MATIC denotes the all-wheel drive fitted as standard on most versions.
